Smurfit Kappa Applies LPR for Forklift Tracking

Jul. 2007: The market leader for corrugated cardboard applies LPR for continuous measurement of position and orientation of the forklift truck operating in the
paper reel storage area. Each reel is assigned its precise physical position at the time it is placed. When being picked up again for the production process or for relocation in the block storage, the ID of each reel is automatically determined by its position.
