Vehicles and moving objects can continuously monitor their position with the LPR-2DB/D-GPS receiver. Differential GPS is used in areas with good line of sight to GPS satellites to determine the actual position with a ± 0.5 m accuracy. Wenn moving to a shielded area or into a building, the receiver automatically switches over to use the on-board LPR engine. LPR transponders then serve as location reference, as earth-mounted satellites. Provided such infrastructure, the position measurement is then even improved to a few centimeters accuracy.
![]() | The combined receiver has connectors for GPS and LPR antennas. Additional sensors (e.g. load recognition, temperature) can be connected via a Zigbee wireless interface. All sensor information is made available at the data interface, together with the dynamic position reading. The complete data stream can optionally be transferred wireless to an distant interface box with USB connector. |
