Industrial radar sensors at the 29th Fachtagung Schüttgutfördertechnik (Bulk Material Handling Conference) 

Since Symeo’s maintenance-free and extremely robust radar sensors have proven themselves for distance measurement in bulk material logistics and offer great potential for process protection and digitization applications, the company will present a lecture and have an information booth at the 29th Bulk Material Handling Conference on September 17 and 18, 2025, in Hotel Ratswaage, Magdeburg. 

At this year's event, Symeo will present LPR-SAFE, a distance measurement system for functional safety. The system is based on a certified function block (EN ISO 13849 Performance Level d), a fail-safe Siemens PLC, and redundant distance measurement using Symeo radar sensor technology. Symeo will also be demonstrating the performance and reliability of its sensors using the practical example of Holcim, where the LPR-1DHP sensor has been successfully in use for many years at the Siggenthal cement plant.

In the exhibition area, Symeo will show these products:

• LPR-1DHP-291 for precise real-time distance measurement up to 50 meters with a single sensor and up to 500 meters with multiple sensors.
• LPR-1DHP-350 as a replacement for ultrasonic and laser sensors. Measuring only 90 × 90 × 35 millimeters, the sensor can be installed where no other radar system would fit.
• LPR-1D24 for measuring distances of up to 1,000 meters, collision avoidance and reliable positioning in steel mills, bulk storage facilities, seaports and container terminals.
• Collision Control Center (CCC), a modular assistance and management software system for collision avoidance with cranes and objects.
