The system combines the robustness and reliability of radar with the high resolution of laser scanners. Mounted as a sensor array on rail vehicles, the HD Imaging Radar can capture detailed environmental data along the track as the train passes. Intelligent data processing – for example, using AI – turns this into an Infrastructure Digital Twin, capable of detecting potential damage or unusual activities at an early stage.
